How we research
What we read, how we date it, what we do not claim, and how we make money. Short and specific, so you can judge the pages for yourself.
Updated October 17, 2026 · figures dated and sourced
In short
We read each platform's own public pages and its recent public reviews, write down the date, and say plainly when something is not published. We have not worked on these platforms, and we are paid a referral fee by one of them, micro1.
What we read
- The platform's own pages first. Help centers, FAQs, payment and policy pages, job listings and terms. When one platform page contradicts another, we say so instead of choosing one quietly.
- Public reviews. We use Trustpilot for rating and review counts and read a sample of recent reviews for recurring themes. Trustpilot does not fact-check reviews, and we treat individual claims as reviewers' accounts, not facts.
- News and filings. For funding, data breaches or lawsuits we name the outlet or document and the date. Court filings are described as allegations, not findings.
- Google's "People also ask" questions. We read the questions people search for on each topic and answer the ones we can ground in sources. We skip questions we cannot support, such as those that need personal experience we do not have.
How we date and label things
- Every page shows the date it was last reviewed. Figures such as pay ranges, Trustpilot scores and payment schedules say when we read them.
- "Listed" or "states" means the platform says it. It is not a promise of what you will earn.
- When a platform does not publish something, such as a pay rate or a country list, the page says it is not published instead of guessing.
- Reported but unconfirmed claims are labeled that way until the company or a primary document confirms them.
What we do not do
- We do not claim hands-on experience with a platform.
- We do not promise income, placement or approval.
- We do not accept payment to change a review or its conclusions.
- We do not ask readers for personal documents, fees or login details.
How we make money
We are a referral partner of micro1. If micro1 hires or signs someone who applies through our links and meets its conditions, it may pay us. Affiliate links carry an "Affiliate link" label and are marked sponsored. Other links on the site, such as sources and outside firms we mention, are not affiliate links. The full terms are on the affiliate disclosure page.
Corrections
If a page is out of date or wrong, tell us. We check it against the source and fix it, and the page date changes when we do.
Frequently asked questions
Do you use the platforms you review?
No, and we do not claim to. We report what each platform publishes and what its reviewers say, and we label which is which. Where firsthand accounts would help, we point to the reviews we read.
Does micro1 pay you?
Yes, if someone applies through our links and meets micro1 conditions, micro1 may pay us a referral fee. It costs readers nothing. See the affiliate disclosure. We have no referral link for the other platforms we review.
What happens when a platform changes something?
We update the page and its date when we notice or when a reader tells us. Pages show the date they were last reviewed, and each figure names its source and the date we read it.
How do I report a mistake?
Use the contact form and tell us the page and the line. We check it against the source and fix it.
