Trustpilot figures and platform details are as of 16 October 2026. *Mercor's main Trustpilot listing (mercor.io); a second listing has only 5 reviews. Trustpilot does not fact-check reviews, and several of these companies do not reply to negative ones. Open each review for the details and the sources.
How to read the table
- A published pay rate is not a guarantee of hours. Every one of these platforms offers project-based work that can pause or end.
- A clear payment schedule is a good sign. Outlier, Mercor and Alignerr document when you are paid. micro1 and DataAnnotation say less, and Remotasks gives only that it pays weekly.
- A high Trustpilot score is not proof either. Look at what the one-star reviews complain about. For several platforms the complaints are about access being removed and support not replying.
- "Not stated" means we could not find it, not that the platform excludes you. Start an application to see what is open in your country.
Looking for alternatives to one of them?
If a platform did not work out, the others on this page cover similar ground. Expert and professional work is the focus of micro1, Mercor and Alignerr. Task-based annotation with lower entry requirements is Remotasks and DataAnnotation. Outlier sits in between, with prompt writing and rating that prefers graduate-level expertise.
